First Project

From launching Klamra to your first automated, polished edit.

01

Before you begin

Klamra runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14 or newer, and PCs running 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. It supports both video files (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM) and audio files (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC) up to 20 GB.

Create a project

  1. 1
    Click "New Project"

Name your project and select your video or audio file.

  2. 2
    Select spoken language

Choosing the correct language maximizes transcription accuracy. You can change it later.

  3. 3
    Choose Whisper model

The "Small" model offers the optimal balance between speed and precision.

  4. 4
    Wait for analysis

Klamra builds local proxies, transcribes words, and identifies pauses and bad takes.

03

What happens during analysis

Klamra probes your media, creates an ultra-fast local editing proxy, and prepares audio for local transcription. It then flags silence intervals and detects potential repeated takes.

Pure Voice starts processing automatically in the background. Heavy workloads are queued safely to maintain computer responsiveness.

Your first preview

Once analyzed, play the timeline. The playback engine automatically skips suggested cuts. Use the preview toggle anytime to compare against raw source footage.

  • Review suggestions on the transcript and timeline.
  • Restore any takes you want to keep with one click.
  • Fine-tune cut boundaries before final export.
